about

"Feu de Joie" is a collection of improvisations recorded between September 2020 and January 2021.
Inspired by some classical authors of musique concréte and through the use of a varied sound palette, these two compositions reflect on the relationship between natural element and its transcription, dealing with sounds mainly related to the sphere of woods.
The "prepared violin" is the main instrument of this work.
It's manipulated, broken down and corroded through the use of tape recorders and some electric interferences produced by various loudspeakers and cheap microphones.
Field recordings were captured in Castiglione d'Adda and Perugia between summer and autumn 2020.

Angelo Bignamini is a musician and sound artist from Italy.
He is interested in the relationship between music and failure, especially the relationship between sound and his deterioration.
His works are published by Lal Lal Lal, Falt, Hologram Label, Luce Sia, Powdered hearts, ManyFeetUnder/Homemade, Phonographiq.
He also runs his personal label "nausea".
